Candidate Summary

With 20 years experience in recruitment and 12 years within my own business, I have built AE Recruitment into a brand that’s known throughout the UAE and further afield with a combined network of over 100,000. 60% of our work is repeat business with a further 20/30% usually coming from recommendations. I have worked with the Middle East’s most well known architectural practices such as Killa Design and JT+Partners helping supply staff that are now winning awards and I’ve also worked with the likes of Emaar, Saudi Diyar and Woods Bagot to name a few.

As the founding Director of AE Recruitment I’ve been very hands on when it’s come to building the database from 0-50,000 candidates and over 4,500 companies. With that has come a responsibility to maintain and even build the salesforce & zoho databases, internal I.T. & web design, all of which have been self taught  

In the past year I have identified a growing need to educate job seekers in their approach to their own job search as the vast majority of applicants get rejected due to a poorly constructed CV or just a lack of knowhow in how/what to put in a CV to help them stand out. This is an area of the business I would like to expand upon in the coming years. I’ve created an Academy and online platform to teach job seekers how to construct their CV complete with CV Templates, update LinkedIn, what to use in a portfolio and how to go about their job search. Recruitment has changed an incredible amount in the time I’ve been at AE Recruitment however job seekers approach hasn’t. They generally use outdated CV templates and are unsure of what an employer are looking for in a CV. 

As well as the Academy I recently created AE Marketplace which is an initiative to not only help job seekers to get back into the workforce as quickly as possible but also to make it easier for employers to search through a list of available candidates, even viewing a preliminary video of the candidate to speed up the hiring process

As well as the operational side of the business I do like to get stuck in with the recruitment as well, I enjoy finding people their dream jobs in architecture. My father was himself an Architect and it was a great connection I had with him.
