Technical Architect
About the role
A leading international architectural practice is seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to join its Dubai studio. The successful candidate will play a central role in translating high-level design concepts into coordinated, buildable technical documentation with precision and creativity.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed technical drawings and documentation using Revit for large-scale commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.
- Collaborate closely with design leads and project architects to ensure technical solutions align with aesthetic and functional intent.
- Lead the coordination of architectural packages with structural, MEP, and specialist consultants to achieve fully integrated project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance during all project stages, from concept through construction documentation and site execution.
- Review and ensure compliance with international building codes, UAE regulations, and project standards.
- Manage quality assurance processes across design documentation to maintain accuracy, consistency, and constructability.
- Support junior team members with mentoring and technical direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification experience in the design and delivery of large-scale projects.
- Proven expertise in AutoCAD, Revit and Rhino at an advanced level, including coordination and BIM model management.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, construction techniques, and detailing suitable for the Middle East market.
- Ability to lead technically complex packages within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and presentation skills.
- Experience with international design studios or delivery-oriented practices is an advantage.
